Qingling Motors held a grand launching ceremony in Chongqing on April 1, 2023, where 10 Qingling Isuzu VC61 heavy-duty trucks were exported to the Philippine market, marking the first batch of exports to the Philippines for this year. This move is significant as it is the first time Qingling ISUZU‘s heavy-duty trucks have been exported to Southeast Asian countries this year, and it lays a solid foundation for Qingling ISUZU‘s heavy-duty truck export business.
The VC61 tractor truck is ISUZU‘s flagship heavy-duty truck product, jointly developed by Qingling and ISUZU. It is the first “international quality, domestic price” heavy-duty truck model that meets the needs of the Asia market. The VC61 is equipped with ISUZU 6U and ISUZU‘s new 6W engines and the latest generation of ZF transmission, making it lightweight, with a long life and low noise design. This tractor truck offers low-speed high torque, saving user operating costs.
Before export, local ISUZU heavy-duty truck dealers in the Philippines visited the Qingling production line in Chongqing and expressed their satisfaction with the VC61 truck. All 10 VC61 tractor trucks use a 6×4 drive mode and have undergone targeted improvements for local conditions in the Philippines. Qingling‘s VC61 truck is designed with a high-roof and extended double sleeper cab for the Chinese market, providing a larger cab space than ISUZU‘s equivalent models in Japan, making it more suitable for overseas market users.
This export of VC61 to the Philippines is just the beginning of Qingling ISUZU‘s heavy-duty truck exports. It is expected that the export volume of VC61 will at least double next year, and ASEAN countries such as Myanmar and Laos have been identified as target export markets for tractor trucks.
Qingling Motors will continue to strengthen cooperation with ISUZU in Japan, jointly building ISUZU‘s global model engine factory and ISUZU‘s global commercial vehicle and engine production base. At the same time, Qingling Motors will promote China’s commercial vehicle consumption concept to be in line with the world, better serving the economy and society with Qingling ISUZU‘s “High quality, low consumption, clean and efficient” commercial vehicles.
